With her graceful design and sailing lines, Twister is still a very fast, reliable ship and is truly comfortable under full sail. Her build and modern rigging system, allows her to perform excellently both on the IJsselmeer, Baltic Sea and out on the Atlantic ocean, with most of her time spent in the North & Baltic Sea when she isn’t making the voyage down to the Canary Islands or around the Caribbean.

Come on board for an exhilarating sailing holiday aboard this classic two-masted schooner. Whether at the helm, on deck or in the cosy wheelhouse, the vessel is much loved by all her guests – Twister’s accommodation of 2 and 3 berth cabins makes her a perfect ship for families too.

Book a trip on Twister

Sailing with Twister is a great experience for all ages and abilities from solo travellers to couples to families. Our crew are all fully trained and are on hand to ensure you that you are comfortable and relaxed for the duration of your holiday.

If you are joining for a relaxing Canary Island or Caribbean sailing holiday, the crew can teach you as much or as little as you’d like. Hoist the sails with them or simply sit back with a book and take in the views.

If you take part in an expedition sailing experience on Twister, our crew will guide and show you the ropes, giving you the opportunity to really become part of the crew; hoisting sails, reading navigations systems and taking part in watch shifts.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Our sailing holidays cater for a maximum of for 12 people and on a full board basis.

Included are:

your stay on board the ship,
breakfast, lunch, dinner,

coffee & tea,
linen and towels.

Not included: alcohol refreshments on board (alcohol can be purchased at a reduced rate onboard), travel and cancellation insurance, excursions ashore.

History of Twister

Twister was originally built with a wooden hull in 1902, and her original purpose was to transport fish between fishing boats and back to the harbour. To ensure the fish remained fresh, Twister was built and rigged for speed.

During her working life, she was refitted with a steel hull and after several other owners, she was transformed in 1998 into a luxury passenger vessel. Renovated again in 2012, she was updated with all new safety features/equipment and all the modern comforts you could possibly want from a charter vessel.
